Candies For Your Finger Nails

Did You Know:

Painting the nails with coloured nail polish (also called nail lacquer and nail varnish) to improve the appearance is a common practice dating back to at least 3000 B.C.

Happy Shopping with Us and Cheers!!

(We will be back in March 2015)

Just before sunset…

Drawing is definitely not my forte despite taking lessons for a few years when I was still a little girl. That is why I really envy my brother, who is able to draw the Simpsons very well, and my baby sis (who is drawing some of the doodling arts in our “Laugh With Us” category).

With my sister now doing a contractual job at a bank while I do the setting up our online shop (I’ve stopped working with those lovable students of mine due to the relapses of my backaches :(), she has very little time to draw.

Actually, I am a fan of her doodling arts ever since she started drawing all those funny characters inside her notebooks and erhhmm….lecture notes. They never fail to make me laugh.

I wanted to read more of her works, but I guess just my liking isn’t enough 😦.

HOWEVER..if you’ve already read our “Laugh With Us” posts (it is just a click away, sweeties!!) and think they are worth reading, do leave down your likes and comments so that she is motivated to draw more.

Without further adieu, here’s the result of my first piece of work:

paper-nail-design-1

The top nail (ya…drawn by yours truly) was done with colour pencils and markers.

Actual nail polish were applied to the one at the bottom with the fimo slices and rhinestones placed only after the colours are dried so that I can reuse them hehe…

The colours used : Jet Black, Mustard Yellow, Blue & Silver Glitter

Art Decor used: 3 butterfly fimo & Black rhinestones

With this, I can create as many designs as I want to without using any top coat (yes, I’ve yet to buy them…) and best of all, I don’t have to remove them.

I’ve just purchased some acrylic nails and nail polish brushes/dotting tools  so that I can try out all my paper designs on the nails.

Oh~ can’t wait for them to arrive. 😀

Hope you do enjoy this humble post of ours.

Cheers & TTFN~ 😀

I Love Dragonflies…

…unless they come in the form of fimo canes or slices!!!!

!!!!(>_<)!!!!

Why?

It is not that I don’t like or hate the real ones, I am just AFRAID to go near them.

How should I describe this mixed feeling…hmm…okay, let’s just put it this way.

A person with low tolerances for spicy food (i.e. yours truly) yet stubbornly wanted to include chilli in the food whenever she is being offered despite knowing she will have a hard time getting the food down her throat.

I really like spicy food but my tongue doesn’t… (>_<)

Now, do you get what I mean? 😦

NOW, LET’S GET BACK TO THE PURPOSE OF TODAY’S POST….

I’ve added a new category today, which is ‘Re-blog N Sharing’, for all the fimo nail designs that I want to share with you all. Therefore, all the nail art designs posted in this category belong to their respective owners/creators.

In order not to infringe any copyrights, I’ve taken the liberty to watermark the pictures so that if you think their designs are interesting, you can always visit their sites for more. This is what sharing is about.🙂

Now, back to dragonflies. Why did I say I love them when I am so afraid of them?

Isn’t life filled with ironies?

The truth is that I was really enjoying myself during the slicing all my dragonflies fimo canes. I like their shape designs and also the vibrant colours. Therefore, when I was going through the websites and spotted this dragonfly nail art, I wanted to share with you all.

sharing-pics-001

I really love the colour of the dragonfly in this nail art, unfortunately I don’t have that in my inventory (*sob*) so will definitely look out for this colour in my next restocking.

I’ve also included 3 similar designs with different colours in the picture for your reference and I do hope you all will enjoy reading posts from this new category.

Till then,

Cheers & TTFN ~ 😀

  2. shewhisperswords ~ They are gorgeous! Such pretty little pieces

Look! Pinky Is Blushing…

During my younger days (yes, I am still young…hehe), I loved watching a cartoon show “Pinky and the Brain” and it was interesting to watch the little Brain trying to take over the world while staying inside a cage within a lab and yet how the clueless and insane one (yes, Pinky) sabotaging his plans time after time….funny…

So, if anyone out there who is secretly trying to take over the world, choose your partners well. Brain has no choice so he will just have to stick with Pinky. >_<

Okay, okay…before I tend to go off-topics, here’s another set of thin-cut fimo slices in pink and red:

thin-cut-page-3-pink-and-red

Yep, finally I’ve managed to finish them. There should be 8 designs for the red colour but due to the 12-box template (I am just too LAZY to extend it) I’ve included them with the other two more colours. Due to this laziness act of mine, I am now facing a problem…

What problem? You may probably ask (I hope)…Well, I cannot come out with a good title for this 3-colour combination (URGHHHHH!!!!).

Fortunately, while I was cracking my brain very hard for a good title, another idea struck me!!

WHY NOT ORGANIZE A NAME GAME????

What do you think? Don’t mind leaving a comment here?

So, do look out for more details of this coming event in our future posts and your kind involvement will be much much appreciated.

MUAHKKK! MUAHKK!!

Till then,

Cheers & TTFN~ 😀

  16. CreatingADream ~ As a name, what do you think about ‘Childish Smile’? (because pink is usually, but not always, a childish color) 😀
  17. shewhisperswords ~ Oh thank you Wendy, cause now I have that theme song running through my head…LMAO! How about Blush and Beauty? I see red and think of bright red lipstick on a beautiful lady and pink reminds me of a blushing young girl. 🙂

Thank You For The Participation…

Woah~ our fruit fimo giveaway event has finally come to an end, with the 4th packet claimed by Denise, who is kind enough to spare her time to guess the colours of our next thin-cut fimo in our previous post (Fruit Fimo Giveaway Updates) and got it correct!

Happy~ Happy~ Happy~

I am so happy because our fimo slices are reaching to those who are new to fimo nail arts and we truly hope they will enjoy the fimo slices sent to them. ^_^

Another nice news that we would like to share with you all is…We have 200 followers !!!  (*sob*sob…tears of happiness)

To celebrate this happy occasion, we are going to organize another giveaway event very soon. So do check your reader/e-mail (if you happened to be following our blog) for this event soon.

I have to admit…the sorting of our pink and red thin-cut fimo is a little slower than expected due to some unforeseen circumstances but I’ve managed to finish sorting and packing them during this morning.

Hopefully I am able to post them up during the next few days. While sorting, I have 3 apple designs which I don’t really know what colours they should belong to.

Thank you very much for all the kind participation in our blog because we really do enjoy all the interactions we’ve had with you kind souls out there….MUAHKKKK!!!
